Well, I thought I might do something with my stimulus check to make my apartment a little more home-like than it is, but then I decided to buy books instead. Go figure. :) The bookwork struck again, and I picked up books instead of the curtains I'd originally considered getting. I picked up a few titles like "The Secret", "The Dirt" (Motley Crue), "The Heroin Diaries" (Nikki Sixx), "Tommyland" (Tommy Lee), "The Encyclopedia of Crystal, Gem, and Metal Magic", and "Ghost Hunters: William James and the Scientific Hunt for Life after Death."
Ok, I'm Wiccan, which explains the magic book and to a degree "The Secret" as it's been suggested to me more than once as a good book to look at for the Wiccan. "The Dirt", "The Heroin Diaries", and "Tommyland" are because I am a HUGE Motley Crue fan! :) "Ghost Hunters" is because I adore ghosts and hauntings. I'm a weirdo, I'm telling you. :)
I mixed up how I got the books though. I got a couple at our local Barnes & Noble store, 3 of the books I got at Barnes & Noble's website, and the other book I got a Amazon.com. LOL I was all over the place, wasn't I?
I've started "The Dirt" and it's a good one if you ask me. Of course, you have to be into rock band autobiographies to want to read it. "Tommyland" I've already read twice. Now I'm getting a copy to own. And "The Heroin Diaries" I've wanted to read since I heard about it. Woohoo. :)
Any books you're looking forward to reading?
If I could go shopping....if I had the money, all my bills were caught up and paid off, and I could just go shopping, I'd buy so much stuff.
I would be new beds for the dog and the cat. I'd get groceries for myself and I'd get extra food for the dog and cat. I'd buy some end tables and a coffee table. I'd buy a laptop. I'd buy a new bed and bedding for it. I would buy so much stuff, it would be unbelieveable.
I'd also move to a nicer neighborhood and stop having to worry about my idiot neighbors who are just horrible anyways. :)
I spent most of my "weekend" at my best friend's house, playing Kingdom Hearts and NASCAR 07, going out to eat, running around looking for NASCAR tool chests that hold candy in the #20 version, and doing laundry. Oh yeah, and paying some of my rent. After March 1st I will owe $740, which is better than the $1010 I was going to owe. I paid $270 which was all I had this time, and I'm hoping I'll have more next time.
In other news, I'm considering getting a few things once the finances settle down, so I've been shopping for the best buy on various items. A few of the items in question: a new TV, a new iPod, a new computer monitor, a new laptop, NASCAR 08, and a few other games that will probably end up being purchased via online auctions if I can't find them new. We'll see though. :) We shall see.
If there's one thing I can relate to, it's needing media supplies. Be they blank DVDs, blank CDs, or cheap Canon ink for my old printer, I can definitely relate. I've spent a lot of money on ink, DVDs, CDs, etc. Now I find there's a better place to get them. SuperMediaStore is the best place to get your media essentials for less. They offer a wide range of products from blank DVDs, blank CDs, DVD & CD cases, inks, toners, computer hardware, memory, and more. If you do a lot of downloading of music and movies from iTunes and want to burn those to disc for backup purposes, or need more ink for your printer, this is the place to go.

After I paid my bills, I went shopping for groceries. I spent $36 on dog treats, a cute little ceramic haunted house, a couple packs of tea lights, and my groceries. Then I spent $11 on toilet paper, clothespins, silverware, and fake cobwebs. Then I spent $3 for bread. Then I spent $28 (including tip) to get my nails done.
Now mind you, I shouldn't have gotten my nails done. I really couldn't afford it. But I splurged because I don't often get to do stuff like that for me. Yeah I may buy stuff, but it's usually necessities, not stuff that's just for me. I'm thinking I may get the new Linkin Park CD off iTunes later tonight, just because. :) I've had a rough week and I need a bit to cheer me up. I'll see how it goes. Perhaps later on I'll post a picture of my nails. They're just plain french manicure though. Nobody I've found here does the cool glitter-tipped solar nails. I had those in Texas. I had blue, red, and black glitter solar nails.
In any case, I always feel like I spent too much money even though
almost every penny actually went for groceries or bills. I hate
paydays. LOL
How flippin' hard is it to carry jersey-knit sheet sets? I'm talking about these. Yes, the consummate Wal-Mart shopper is linking to TARGET. Why? Because they're the only ones who carry my sheets. At least here. Down in Texas, Wal-Mart carried them as well. Now I have a twin bed, so I get the cheapest price for the sheet sets. But still. I prefer jersey-knit sheet sets, but I have to buy them at Target. Now I'm not normally a Target shopper. Ours seems to have gotten a bit too high-end for my tastes. I suppose I could go in there to find the jersey-knit sheets, but they only seem to carry them at our store for a month or two, then the flannels come out and the jersey-knits are gone.
My favorites are the wine, admiral blue, and manhattan mist colors. But the white or the sassy pink would also be all right. Possibly chalet blue. However, brown floral, pink butterfly, or pink rose are definitely not in my color choices. Perhaps when I get a couple of paychecks from my new job and my bills caught up from the former job fiasco, I'll order myself a couple of new sheet sets. Goddess knows, I need them.
I need a new watch. I also need sunglasses. I have neither. Why? I honestly don’t know, but I don’t. The watch, well, I hardly ever remember to wear one, and I’m afraid I’d ruin one at work. But I’d love to have one of those really great designer watches. You know the ones I mean. Casio, Nixon, Seiko, Timex, stuff like that. I’d love to have a watch like that. But I can’t afford one. I mean, really, I can’t afford one. I’d also love to have some great new sunglasses, like Prada Sunglasses, or Arnette sunglasses. I can’t afford them either. But maybe I could find one of those discount places that sells all that stuff. I know when I lived in Texas I got a pair of designer sunglasses really inexpensively at a discount place. Maybe I should check out a site like Redbird. They have all that stuff at discount prices, so I could afford to get what I want. I just may take a good solid look at that one of these days. I deserve something nice for once.
You know, I love to shop, online, offline, it doesn't matter. I just love to shop. So when it comes to shopping online, I know that I could get much better deals and save a lot of money if I used coupon codes. So it's a great thing that I found CouponChief.com. They have coupons for tons of online merchants, which will allow shoppers to save a lot of money. For instance, I love to shop at JoAnn.com because I do a lot of crafts. All I have to do is go to Coupon Chief, look under Home & Garden and find JoAnn.com in the list. Click on the merchant name, and voila! I have coupon codes for just about anything I could want. It's so easy and it saves me so much money. I can't believe I never thought of looking for coupon codes before I found Coupon Chief. I really love this site, they have so many merchants to choose from, like Home Depot, KMart, Kohl's, and many, many more. Check them out, you won't be sorry. I bet you find some coupons you could use!
